Highlights from the 1999 "Into the Orient" Tour: |
Eighty six ITHFers converged on Hong Kong for exciting adventures exploring the sights and sounds of this part of the world - and, of course, it hardly blinked. Bangkok and Chaing Mai provided an excellent introduction to Thailand and its warm and friendly people. From Hong Kong, where they say everything not specifically prohibited is allowed, to Singapore, where they say that everything not specifically allowed is prohibited, - this ITHF tour took us on a happy and exciting crosscultural excursion through the Orient. |

Highlights from the 1997 “Celtic Capers” Tour: |
For sixteen days, 73 ITHFers and their partners explored England, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland - from seas to mountains, from humble abodes to historic castles, from lonely canal walks to glorious gardens. Tour members from Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Chile and others provided as much diversity and cultural sharing on the coaches as we encountered with the people there. Not only was it introduction to an extraordinary land, it was excellent fun and fellowship - searching for the Leprechauns, hanging out in the pubs, snooping through the castles, balancing on the edge of the cliffs, etc. |

Highlights from the 1993 “Down Under” Tour of Australia: |
Because of its success, this first travel adventure not only set a high standard for future excursions, it resulted in the organization's name being changed to include the function of travel. Throughout Australia, we experienced as much cultural diversity and sharing between ourselves on tour as we did between us and our gracious hosts there. Ron Pearce and Marilyn made certain that all ITHFers on tour not only saw the sights from the bus, boat, plane, camel, train, etc., but that they saw the "real Australia" from inside the homes of the Rotarians and their families there. |
