ITHF is a family of over 2000
Rotarians and partners who know how difficult it can
be to communicate effectively with visitors or hosts
of different cultures, different language backgrounds,
different histories and beliefs, different habits and
customs, and different value systems. Much of communicating
is non-verbal and some practices while commonplace in
some cultures are avoided in others.
Most of us, the members of ITHF, have experience communicating
with those of other cultures and have accumulated a
lot of information on how to communicate with hosts
in and visitors from other lands. We provide the Members'
Guide to ITHF to each new member and maintain up-to-date
listings on all members, who by joining ITHF have professed
their interest in having open and effective communications
with you during the course of your and/or their international
travels.
